Delete your data on Openings

This page explains how to delete specific data from your Openings account without closing the account itself. If instead you want to delete your entire account and all associated data, see Delete your Openings account.

Delete data yourself from the dashboard

Most data on Openings can be removed directly from the dashboard while keeping your account active. Sign in at https://app.openings.link/dashboard and use the delete controls on each resource:

  • Appointments — open an appointment and use Cancel or Delete.
  • Customers — open the customer record and use Delete customer.
  • Team members — open a team member and use Remove member.
  • Schedules & services — open the schedule or service and use Delete.
  • Work photos & template images — open the gallery or template editor and remove individual items.
  • Businesses — from business settings, use Delete business to remove an entire business (including its schedules, services, team, and booking page) while leaving your user account intact.
  • Push-notification device tokens — sign out of the mobile app on a device to remove its token.

Request data deletion by email

If you can't find the control you need, or want us to remove data on your behalf, email us at info@openings.link from the email address on your account. Include:

  • Your account email.
  • The business name (if applicable).
  • A clear description of the data to delete (for example, specific appointments by date, a named customer record, a team member, or uploaded photos).

We'll verify the request and confirm completion by email, typically within 30 days.

What gets deleted

When you delete a record through the dashboard or by request, we remove it from Openings and it is no longer visible to you, your team, or your customers. Depending on the resource this includes:

  • The record's own fields and any media attached to it.
  • Child records that only exist as part of the deleted resource (for example, a schedule's availability rules, or a service's options).
  • Search-index entries and cached copies, purged on a rolling schedule.

What we may retain

We may retain a limited subset of data for a longer period where we are legally required to do so or where we have a legitimate interest:

  • Transaction records and invoices required for tax, accounting, and anti-fraud obligations (generally retained for up to 7 years).
  • Communications logs and abuse/security records necessary to protect the service and its users.
  • Backup copies, which are purged on a rolling schedule (up to 90 days).

Retained records are kept in a restricted form and are not used for any other purpose.
